Last month we purchased this beauty at an auction. I thought maybe we would use it or flip it. Depending on what I was able to do with it.
I didn’t look as closely as I should have and didn’t notice how “used” the inside of the drawers were or how the top bowed up a little bit. But truth be told I would have gone after it anyway!
She is just darling from her top to her original castor toes!
I decided to clean and paint the inside of the drawers a wonderful barn red. Once I finished that task I still wasn’t overly impressed. So out came the sander.
I sanded the top and fell in love!
Then came the sides and the drawer fronts and be still my beating heart…..
My sister in law says it reminds her of red velvet cake. All I know is that I LOVE it!
90 degree’s and I’ve run out of steam so she has been moved into the house and sits waiting for her final destination and unveiling. I just walk by and pet her lovingly. *grin*
