A place for everything and everything in its place.
My idea of utopia.
My unrealistic goal.
However, that does not stop me from trying to get there.
We have 6 acres here at Suttons Daze. That is about 94 short of my dream property, but it’s a good start until we hit the lottery.
Of that 6 acres we actively use about half of it. Using 3 acres means that there is 3 acres of grass to mow and 3 acres of hose needed to reach the various gardens in progress.
Most days the hose is stretched to one side or the other and left there knowing that the next day we will repeat the process of watering something. But on those days when we have to mow or company is coming, we needed somewhere to move the hose out of the way. We needed a hose holder!
While surfing around Pinterest I found a few that caught my eye and sparked my imagination. Cute or elegant, always functional.
Shanty 2 Chic made this inexpensive attractive hose holder
The Family Handyman has this functional hose and sprinkler bucket. It’s the all in one garage solution!
When I talked with Mr. S about my idea he came up with the perfect solution!
We already had everything we needed to make our own Suttons Daze style hose hanger!
The previous owner was kind enough to leave us a small stack of tires, a couple of which had the wheels still attached. A few nuts, a few bolts and of course my ever handy spray paint and this is our version.
I love it when a plan comes together!
Where do you hang your hose?
