Louisiana Dirty Rice
Ingredients
- 1 pint ground beef
- 1 pint ground sausage
- 4 cups cooked rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3/4 cup bell pepper (diced)
- 3/4 cup onion (1/4 cup if freeze dried)
- 1/4 cup celery
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Empty jars of meat into pan and cook to drain off any liquid
- Add herbs, spices and veggies, mix well
- Add flour, mix well
- Add broth and simmer for 5 minutes
- Fold in cooked rice, simmer for 5 more minutes and serve
